Despite what you may have been told food security is the most pressing issue of our time. With 10 or more calories of fossil fuel energy going into every calorie of food, the current food model is not sustainable. Meanwhile, our energy situation deteriorates by the day. Food prices are already on the rise. The local food movement is great but what is more local your own home? We will never achieve the security and self reliance we seek until we take RESPONSIBILITY for our needs. All the material and energy needed moves through your property every day. We offer consulting for the novice on earthworks, orchards, water harvesting and usage, aquaculture systems, small scale urban livestock, soil building methods, insect cultures, intercropping, and much more.
